Peter J. Krall, M.D.
Dr. Krall was born and raised in Mitchell, South Dakota, a small, close-knit community in Eastern South Dakota. He attended Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota, graduating Summa Cum Laude and earning his Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a minor in chemistry. Upon graduation, Dr. Krall was accepted into Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Southern California, where he received his Medical Degree with honors. He completed his Ophthalmology residency at University of Florida, and he elected to further his training by completing a post-graduate fellowship in Cornea, External Disease and Refractive Surgery at the University of Florida.
Dr. Krall is currently an Associate Ophthalmologist and Surgeon at Greider Eye Associates. He practices comprehensive ophthalmology with a special interest in cornea and external diseases. His areas of expertise involve: refractive surgery including blade-less LASIK and PRK (surface ablation), corneal transplants, tumors of the external eye, pterygium removal, and advanced cataract surgery. Dr. Krall is trained in the latest cataract surgery techniques including all of the latest lens implants to correct astigmatism and decrease dependence on glasses.
He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Cornea Society. In his free time, Dr. Krall enjoys golf, water sports, and traveling abroad with his wife Stephanie. Dr. Krall comes from a family of eye care providers and prides himself on partnering with his patients to create customized treatment plans to meet their needs.
